'89 Supra Sunsport, 351 Ford PCM may or may not start. It's an unexpected, unanticipated no start. Just out of nowhere turn the key and nothing---- dead silence. After a little while and several attempts to start, it does start. When it does start sometimes the turn-over is weak and sometimes there is a strong, normal turn-over. The last time this happened I was out in the middle of the lake, had been sitting with engine off, got ready to go and no start. Tried it again every few minutes, and still no start. Decided to call for a tow, but before doing so gave it one last attempt and she started right up.What could the problem be? I need to get it fixed. Thanks. gil |

I would start with the battery and battery terminals. If ok then see if you are getting 12 volts the starter solenoid (small wire). It is located (on my boat) under the plastic cover next to the breaker above the trans at back of engine. |
