86 Supra 351 PCM B/W tranny. What type fliud is best..I just bought it,,and the tranny fluid needs changing..Plz help. |

86 Supra,, Velvet Drive 10-17-004 Tranny was fine when put in storage last fall,,now will not shift into reverse,,not slipping,,its not shifting,pulled out selector valve & cleaned,,still no reverse shift,,,fluid looks good,, not even trying to shift into reverse,,any ideas short of pulling tranny,,please help |

Try a transmission tuneup fluid like Seafoam / 16 oz. Automatic Transmission and Power Steering Tune Up $7.99 at Auto Zone. Run it for a while in gear and then try shiftion from forward to reverse. There is a valve that redirects the flow and it may be stuck or clogged. |

No luck with the Sea Foam,,,looks like pulling the tranny,,, got a fair price on a re-man tranny,,any info on removal/install. Not worried about the alignment,,but need how too on removal. |

Oil lines Shift cable Rear engine mounts Shaft coupler Neutral switch wires 6 mount bolts I would look at getting this one fixed. Probably less $$ than a reman. Bob is right, it is very possibly just a stuck component in the valve body. |

I havent given up on the seafoam yet,put a pint in today,,ran it for 20 min,,,shift every 1/4 mile or so,,,nothing yet,,will let set overnight and try again tomorrow, Fantastic Finish Marine in Ohio,$650 to rebuild |
