Westerbeke 7.7 Generator cooling problem

Author Message   Jan Maler Posted on Sunday, May 11, 2003 - 07:39 pm:    I have a 1981 7.7 Westerbeke generator 4400 hrs. When coolant is added to the separate side plastic resivor bottle, it disappears very quickly and I cant keep it filled. The generator will shut itself off. Where is it going? And what is the problem? The manifold is full of coolant, you can remove the cap and feel liquid.
