G'day,
Ive just bought a small yacht with a 25 year old DV8 saildrive.
It has the bog standard, very basic Bukh facia panel in the cockpit (three lights, decompresion button and audio alarm).
I come from a background where I am used to monitoring engines very carefully, and just find something uncomfortable about not knowing what my engine is up to !.
Im not even sure the lights and audio alarm work properly - is there an easy way to test them ?
Is it a simple job to installing some gauges to monitor oil pressure and temperatures ?
Or am I going a bit over the top ?
