hi my engine stopped sudenly and i have changed the inlet pump but whilst trying to bleed the engine i cannot seem to get fuel to come through |

Disconnect the lift pump outlet connection and work the pump. If you don't get fuel squirt out (onto a rag of course) the problem is between the pump and the tank. Try turning the engine a turn to make sure the pump isn't sitting on the cam lobe and therefore you can't manually pump it. If that doesn't work, you either have a blockage in the run from the tank to pump, or a break letting air in. Look for perished rubber hoses, blow back through the line to clear it (if that clears it you have gunk somewhere you need to find and remove).
