what makes the differance between the 107 and 108 when the displacement and compression are the same? |

HI Jan, There are 3 basic engines 4.99-4.107 4.108 the differences apart from age are bore,comp ratio, head stud sizes, con rod sizes injector nozzles big end bolts. Cheers Tassie.. |

the 107 makes 41hp and the 108 makes 55hp how can i make the 107 produce 55hp. do i change injectors or injector pump? |

HI jan, Forgot to mention the main diff 107-108 is 107 has wet liners alltho the last pro run of 107s where built with the dry type,107s with the wet type have 4 small weep holes along the side of block hp fuel pump side. I would not be tempted to push for 55hp 107&108S have #1 big end problems when pushed hard,in some agri uses 107s are run at 4000rpm@48 HP, most marine applications 3000 or 3600 rpm. Hope this helps.
