My narrowboat has a Perkins 4 cylinder engine - not 100% sure which one - I'll try and get some more details. It's working fine except for bad vibration at tickover/low revs - sounds like the whole boat is about to shake itself to bits. There is quite a 'judder' when opening the throttle to get higher revs; but once at higher revs the vibration goes away and it runs quite smoothly. I've had the engine mounts replaced - the old ones were knackered (and had been put on wrong). However the new mounts haven't made much difference. I guess it's worth looking at the injectors to see if one isn't working at low revs ? Any suggestions as to what to look at next?
