i cannot stop the leak on my 108 return line, at the top of the fuel filter. compression washer is shot, trying to use what is available (living in out islands of caribbean). what would work that i may have on hand, ie, nylon washer, o rings (they have not worked), etc? tks in advance for any help. |

hi, the return line has a banjo fitting that the bolt goes through, there should be a copper washer top and bottom of the banjo, aluminium would do if you can't find copper, nylon might work with some of the thin PTFE tape wrapped around that's the thin white tape that's used by plumbers, take care if using the tape, don't let it get cut off and dissapear down the return pipe. (TIP) don't overtighten the bolt, it only needs pinching up to create a good enough seal, the diesel there is only under lift pump pressure, about 8 to 10 PSI at most. Good luck. Paul |

A washer made from flexible plastic would work in a pinch. |
