hi all, i am seeing a small amount of oil coming out of my exhaust. it seems to be diesel, as i have not lost any lube oil in 150 hours. i am figuring that an exhaust valve isn't seating correctly. i am out cruising, is there anything that i can do on my own out here in the sticks? is there any chance i have misdiagnosed the problem? |

Hi. I agree with "dieselduck". It is probably an injector problem. In the past, I have restored a leaking/fouled injector with Marvel Mistery Oil. Other products might also work. I drained the Racor water seperator/filter enough then added some MMO (about 16 oz). Bled the system and ran the engine. Fouling stopped and did not return for 6 months. I then replaced all injectors with rebuilt units. Hope this helps. Georges. |
