Hello, I've just removed a 12 tooth DelcoRemy starter from a 4.108.It uses a 1 inch thick adaptor. The part number on the starter is #1109214. Can anyone shed some light on this application? Will this take the place of the Evil old inertial style 13tooth unit? I'd love to get to the bottom of this 4.108 starter replacement issue. And Where can these adaptors be found? Thanks! |

Hi: I had a similar issue with a Lucas M45G starter on a Perkins 4-107 engine. I had to fabricate a 1/4" thick spacer (adaptor) to make it work. I used aluminum material and it works fine and is easier to make than steel. |
