The Cav/Simms Minimec P5053/3B injection pump
is leaking fuel from the fittings that the injector tubes connect to. I require a spline socket to remove the fittings so I can replace the o-rings and seals. Anybody know where to purchase the spline socket? Tks |

It's my understanding that an injection pump rebuilding place is the best way to fix this. The cleanliness and precision required is supposedly worth the dollars to have them fix it right. I'd be looking for a truck diesel injection repair garage to walk it into rather than a "marine" repair place.

If you need a spline socket to remove the injector tube fittings there is a spline fitting in a 453 jimmy turbo that works perfect with a little grinding and weld a 5/8 socket to the spline. It's no big job to replace the o-rings to stop the leaking of fuel. |
