hello everybody having read a lot about these engines as I am hoping to purchase a trawler yacht fitted with these engines, My concerns are that there is a lot of talk about rebuilds, my question is how do you get them out the boat as they weigh about 500Kg each and presumably have to get out the saloon door ?? |

Hello Al, Well,It usually seems like the Manuf. set the engine on a stand and built the boat around it. Getting engines out of boats usually entails thinking "out of the box",and having a sawz-all handy! Or,doing much of the rebuild in-situ. Good luck with yours and get friendly with a good carpenter/fiberglass person.I'm in Cental America and a lot of engineering is done with Bamboo! |

Hi Alan, what model engine does the boat have in it? Usually the engine can be disassembled and the block removed...............not usually a problem. Give us a call. Regards, Maureen www.bomacmarine.com (Please see our web site) 866-419-6363 |
