Ford Lehman 275 starting problem

Author Message   Mike Wisneski Visitor Posted on Monday, January 14, 2008 - 08:43 am:    I have been gone for 3 1/2 weeks and have not started my engines. Stbd engine started fine. Port engine (always been hard to start) turns over fine but won't fire. It's been pretty cold for a while, night lows in the 30's. Are there glow plugs in this engine? There is no switch for glow plugs, so if they are there, how do I use them for pre heat? Any other suggestions? Thanks   Michael A. Several types out there to pick from. Turned out it was a starter wire issue (corrosion). Cleaned it and it worked perfectly after that.
