I have been gone for 3 1/2 weeks and have not started my engines. Stbd engine started fine. Port engine (always been hard to start) turns over fine but won't fire. It's been pretty cold for a while, night lows in the 30's. Are there glow plugs in this engine? There is no switch for glow plugs, so if they are there, how do I use them for pre heat? Any other suggestions? Thanks |

No glow plugs. Block heater is a must with these turbo's. Several types out there to pick from. Cold starting and excess smoke on start up will get much better. |

I had this problem last year also. Turned out it was a starter wire issue (corrosion). Cleaned it and it worked perfectly after that. |
