The Yanmar 2GM service manual states that engine performance is directly related to proper valve clearance. Can some one tell me what the effects are on performance if the valves are out of adjustment? Thanks. |

solid lifters= valves open too long, or not long enough= low compression= less power. not to mention possible bent valves, or pushrods. |

set valves at .008, check once a season, or when you service all filters |
