This may sound like a dumb one, but for the life of me I can't find any way to drain all the fresh water coolant from the 4HJ3-DTE. I've been through both the operator manual and the service manual, and though they talk about draining the system they never really describe how to do so. I'm sure there must be a valve somewhere low in the system, or possibly a hose that could be disconnected? |

I was able to answer my own question. There is a drain valve just under the fresh water pump, it has a nipple for attaching a hose and a hex nut (10mm) to open the valve. The reason I couldn't find this is that front of my engine is only accessible from the top and I couldnt't easily see under the water pump. |
