I'm having 2000 hr service by warranty shop and the injectors are hard to get out, one still won't come out, and when they do come out they are all rusty where they run through the head. The mechanic mumbled something about a washer to keep out the water. However these injectors have never been touched since they came from factory. How can water get in there? If there is water there, does that mean water has dripped into cylinders and likely rust there as well? Boat runs all the time. Not just sitting around. No problems otherwise. Any tricks to getting out the stuck injector? Rotating the shaft to pressure it out did not work. |

There is a o ring or rubber seal that goes over the injector. It is more of a dust seal. The rust may be from a over head leak or just condensation. Use penitrating oil and the use of a small slide hammer will help. |
