Hey, all, my kill switch is locked half-open. Cable seems to be OK, but the actuator switch on the front of the engine won't budge.

Manual suggests bleeding air from the system, but doesn't actually say how to do that, and my usual mechanic is on vacation...

Any advice, short of taking a sledge to it?

First of all tighten the hose clamp, where the hose goes into the front cap of your heat exchanger. Check and tighten all clamps. You may have to replace it with a new hi-quality clamp that is (stainless) This is dripping salt water down into the kill switch lever. Load the area up with a good penitrating oil and leave it for a while, add more each day and then tap the lever back and forth. It will free up. Take it easy as you do not want bust it off and have to dismantle the side and replace the lever assy.
Be patient and allow the penitrating oil to work in. It will free up. Regards, Ron
