Hiall,
I have narrow boat fitted with a Barrus Shire 1950 with a solenoid stop. The thing is it isn't...stopping! When I depress the stop button you can hear it click and try to block the fuel follow but it just can't manage it. I've had the solenoid off and check it on a 12v battery and it works a treat.
Any suggestions? I'm thinking it might be a bad earth? I don't really want to start fiddling if someone has experienced this problem before and could offer some advise?

Hi Jim,
your problem is a relay switch that is on the line between the stopper button and the solenoid, usually its a 4 pin 30amp. Regards ShannonNavigation |
