my father has a 26ft folk sailing boat which did have a volvo penta md1b engine in it , that engine is now broken . so he has been looking for a yanmar 1gm10 he is hoping that this engine will fit the space in which the volvo penta once was, any one out there able to shine any lights on his thoughts please thanks kate |

Hello Kate,
Contact the Yanmar distributor and ask who the dealers are in the area. Advise the dealers you are after a 1 GM 10. They may find or have a good rebuilt one. Keep in mind the Volvo Penta 1:91:1 turns a left hand prop and the Yanmar 2:21 or a 2:62 a right hand prop. Good luck |
