We are having difficulty locating a service manual for a Cat D330a marine engine. Will the service manual for the D330 engine (normally found in tractors) suffice? |

Arthur, I'm not very familiar with CAT manuals, but if they are anything like Detroit then the service/shop manuals cover all the applications. I just took a look on ebay and there are a number of marine D330 operators manuals... but the service manuals don't indicate marine. I would ask a CAT dealer to check their publication list and give you a part number for the Marine Service manual. That will confirm that a specific marine manual exists and give you some to search for (using the actual part number). |

Arthur, any D330 service manual, for the correct serial #, will cover all applications, Marine and Industrial. I'd think you can find a service manual on the net, eBay perhaps. We have twin D330s in Mariah and I have Parts Manuals, Service Manuals and Operators Manuals but they are on the boat, not where I am. Do you just want them for future referance or need some info now? Jon |
