470/504 what is the differance between them i need to know the weight height width length without gear any info would be appreciated thanks gord |

There is very little difference between the 470ci and the 504 ci Cummins engines. They have the same block, same heads etc. The major differences are the conrods, pistons and crankshaft. The weights are within 30 pounds and the physical sizes are the same. Many 470's were rebuilt to 504 specs when rebuilt if the crank had to be replaced. |
