I have 1993 43' Viking converible with 67TIB Detroit Diesels. I have seen some postings about cruising RPM but I am still questioning what the engine can handle without running it too hard. My top RPM is about 2500rpm. I have been currently running them at about 2150. I was told that I can run them all day long at 90%. Is this true? It doesn't seem as though I am getting the speed out of the boat that I should be. I currently cruise at about 19 to 20 knots.
