General rule of thumb is $1000 per cylinder. Figure between $5-$8K.
You could cruise Ebay, or buy Fel-Pro parts instead of DD to maybe save some money, but go with Detroit parts if possible. |

Jimmy, thanks for the information. I am looking at a 1984 sport fish with DD6V92 TA's 475hp. The engines were reported to have been rebuilt 14 yrs ago just before the current owner purchased the boat. The present owner reports that he put 500 hrs on the engines in the last 14 yrs and rebuilt one turbo on each engine a couple of years ago. I am not a diesel mech. but have built a few gas marine engines, I don't want to get in over my head! joesig |
