I am considering the purchase of a 1969 Chris Craft DC with 8V-53's. Any info as to what the strengths and weaknesses as well as what to expect for performance of these engines would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

the short and long of it is that major casting block, crankshaft and other parts are very hard to get for your engine and of cores the engine is obsolete. i whould look for a boat with a newer modle engine. |

hi if you buy the boat, i have lots of 8V53 parts 2 complete running takeouts,1 compete not running,2 blowers, and lots of exhaust manifold parts |
