I am looking a 70s vintage Fiberform 23 with a Detroit Diesel 6.2 and OMC outdrive with 700 hours and decent appearance. Should I stay away from this engine if it checks out OK mechanically?

I'll Take the motor off you're hands if you buy it and want to repower....LOL
It's just the 6.2 diesel that GM used in thier trucks all throught the 80's. Including all the military trucks and Hummers. It was replaced by the 6.5 in the 90's which is basicly the same with a turbo.
I would love to find one to repower my Beachcomber I wouldn't even care if it was blown as long as it had all the accessories. |
