What is the best oil to use in a diesel motor in everyones opinion? |

You should use oil that is rated for use in diesel engines and not for gasoline engines only. Other than that pay attention to the API rating that is located on the label. Keeping your oil changed the key to longevity. In 45 years of tinkering with engines I have not found one brand that is noticably better than another given equal API ratings and periodic oil changes. |

i always use shell rotella-t 40 weight on all of my fleet of detroit diesel engines,it is also recommended by detoit. |
