I have got a big old wood boat that at one time went very fast. It was powered by 500hp gas engines and like many boats back then it caught fire. It has had a pair of 671s in it since the 50's and now that once fast boat is slow. The motors had a major rebuild 6oo hrs ago. One engine gets up to about 2000rpm and the other only up to 1700rpm. Can you guys tell me what the normal cruise and max rpms are for these engines? Is there an easy way to boost power (larger injectors etc)?

DONT KNOW WHAT CRUISE IS FOR YOUR BOAT, MAX F/L RPMS SHOULD BE 2300.YOU NEED TO FIND SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING TO CHECK ENGINES. |
