I have a Volvo Penta 7 B engine. On three occasions I have ended up with oil in the heat exchanger. It has been "repaired" twice but after about 8 months of pretty light use, the problem reoccured. The head has been honed down and rebuild and a new head gasket was used each time. The third time the problem happened I just pulled the engine and hauled it to a machinge engine rebuild shop. So far they have not been able to figure out the problem Any ideas? Steve |

When You say 'oil in the heat-exchanger', may I presume You have an add-on Martec freshwater cooling system and You are talking PURE engine oil and not combustion soot/exhaust? |
