Tells are easy. The A (if still original) has a exhaust solenoid and a rod is attached between the solenoid to a valve inside the exhaust. Any remenants of these means it is a A. Other signs which are shared with early B models is smooth metal top on aftercooler. The A may also have 2 glow plugs for preheat which means addition of a some electrics near the 2 temp senders. ( these were available as options on later models). |
