Volvo Penta MD5B Saildrive

Author Message   Anthony Cullen New member Username: explorer Post Number: 1 Registered: 10-2009 Posted on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 - 11:01 am:    Can anyone advise me on how best to winterize my engine, a Volvo Penta MD5B with saildrive - I've run fresh water through the raw water inlet hose with the engine running (out of the water), then added antifreeze 1 to 2 parts water. I was then told the engine wouldn't have run the antifreeze through the 'block' as it wouldn't have got up to temperature?
