found pool of oil in bilges of my recently purchased boat,checked for lost sump plug,corrosion etc.refilled with oil and run till engine hot.I then filled with flushing oil,flushed out, new filter and new oil added,ran for approx 90 minutes in force 5 short seas.None of this resulted in a loss of any oil,engine runs smoothly.Spoke to a fellow boater who had the same engine and said that his had done this 3 times and had not found any reason also,anyone got any info. |
