Hello, I just bought a brand new yacht with 2 Volvo D4 300HP and there are allready technical problems. The engine brakes down when you put it from forward or backward into neutral. Probably something with the shift actuator but the mechanics are still searching. Does anyone know this problem? |

Hi Engine is shutting down because to much current is being drawn by the actuator and it can not select neutral!!Better be safe then sorry Caused by tight shift cable/worn or tight shift assembly in drive/wiring/adjustment or actuator? Could swap over actuator's,re-adjust neutral with key on.See if fault swaps side?? Does it happern from cold or after a run?? |
