To all that posted responses. Turns out that a common problem for this engine is a siphon tube the runs through the out drive to bring in fresh water. Had the boat out today and she ran sweet as ever. Never broke 160 degrees and I ran her at 3000 rpm 2 hours out and another 2 hours back. Exhaust riser was clear, heat exchanger was clean and clear.
