I have 2x a TAMD 31 M in my trawler. As a result of dipstck mismanagement (I did not push it down beyond the "click") I have overfilled the oilpan with app 0,8 litrs. I have done app 100 hrs in this condition. Engines run normal and do not smoke, temp OK, pressure OK
Total time engines 1700 hrs.
I find small traces of oil under the engine, the airfilter is contaminated with oil.
Now I have taken out the excess oil.
Will the leaking stop? or do I have a bigger problem?

G'Day Jaap,
If the motors are being used in a cool to temperate climate the amount of over filling involved should not be a problem ; hopefully with the extra stress taken of the seals all will return to normal.If the after- cooler has been badly contaminated it will require cleaning to allow max heat transfer.

The location is The Netherlands, we are not known for our sunny and warm climate.
So maybe I am lucky
