I have 2x a TAMD 31 M in my trawler. As a result of dipstck mismanagement (I did not push it down beyond the "click") I have overfilled the oilpan with app 0,8 litrs. I have done app 100 hrs in this condition. Engines run normal and do not smoke, temp OK, pressure OK Total time engines 1700 hrs. I find small traces of oil under the engine, the airfilter is contaminated with oil. Now I have taken out the excess oil. Will the leaking stop? or do I have a bigger problem? Thanks for your help Jaap |

G'Day Jaap, If the motors are being used in a cool to temperate climate the amount of over filling involved should not be a problem ; hopefully with the extra stress taken of the seals all will return to normal. If the after- cooler has been badly contaminated it will require cleaning to allow max heat transfer. Cheers, Shakey. |

Thanks Shakey, The location is The Netherlands, we are not known for our sunny and warm climate. So maybe I am lucky Jaap |
