I just brougt a '86 Bayliner 2560 with no motor but did get the outdrive and exhaust manifolds.My search for a used volvo penta AQ260A has been unsuccessful.Im now considering changing over to a diesel. Any suggestions? Thanks... |

My suggestion is to calculate the total cost including new engine mounts, new controls, new gauges, new fuel tank(s) and system, and anything needed to couple the engine to the outdrive. I think you'll find an 1986 Bayliner is not worth a whole lot and making such a large investment in it is not fiscally sound. But, there are companies that do this type of changeover so call them and get quoes. |
