Last year both TAMD40Bs were removed from boat and cooling systems cleaned. Service shop also replaced all filters, belts, hoses, etc. Ran great for the season. Regular start ups at dock over the winter. In spring went for run and one engine produced lots of black smoke and would not make max rpm. Removed air filters, both turbos working fine. Went for another run and smoking stopped rpm better but still won't quite make full rpm. Any ideas? |

Hi, Had a similar problem on my boat and it just turned out to be a dirty bum. Soon as I cleaned it, she regained her performance and no black smoke. |

That makes sense, there was a fair bit of growth over the winter. Thanks Dean |

Do you have any 40b parts? I am looking to cxhange out tmd40b to a tamd40b. I need the oil cooler and the piping. I can give you the part numbers if you need them |
