I have a 1998 3000 Pursuit offshore with twin KAMD-44P's. My temperature gauge reads 180 degrees after they warm up and I'm under way. Once I start to reach crusing speed (3200 RPM's) the gauges will read 200 degrees and stay there. Even if I run them for 45 minutes. Once I drop to a slower speed (2000 RPM's) they will both read 180 again. Is this a normal operating temperature? Thanks Frank B. |

I beleive it is, The KAD engines run hot and are very close to the overhest alarm trip point. Any restriction in water flow trips the alarm, Thats my experience with teh KAD32 and its a similar engine. |
