The LCD engine hours display for my D2-55A engine has been fading in contrast to nearly unreadable and now more often than not shows no display. Can anyone offer some simple owner checks before submitting it to a professional mechanic? |

I would check and clean the electrical connections. There's probably a plug and socket somewhere. Take it apart, clean the connectors with electronic grade contact cleaner, and reassemble the connector. There could be more than one. |
