Hi: I have a Volvo 2003T and the voltage is irregular at the volt meter. It changes from 14 down to less than 12. I have determined that the voltage to the batteries is not irregular and stays at aprox. 14 volts. I have checked the voltage at the volt meter and the voltage is the same as the volt tester. Could this be a problem with the relay? Oil pressure and temp gauge are working properly. Tach has stopped working a year or so ago. Any thoughts would be appreciated. thank you Ed |

SONDS LIKE HIGH RESISTANCE CAUSED BY CORROSION AT ONE OR SOME OF YOUR TERMINALS OR A LOOSE TERMINAL OR TRY REMOVING THE VOLTAGE GAUGE AND TESTING THE VOLTAGE WITHOUT THE GAUGE TO SEE IF IT IS DRAGING THE VOLTAGE DOWN REGARDS STEVE |

It is the block heater coming on and off. It's not unusual although if it still does it when at operating temp, you man need the sensor replaced. |
