My Volvo Penta diesel KAD32P (only 200 hrs.) will wind up to about 3200 rpm and the supercharger will drop out as programmed at 3100 rpm BUT then the revs fall back to under 3100 rpm and the supercharger kicks in again and keeps repeating this cycle. Boat is able to stay on plane in that rpm range. I can't seem to get beyond 3200 rpm; should be going to 3700-3800 rpm WOT after supercharger cuts out. Fuel system is clean, as are props and hull. Don’t know if problem is with injectors or injector pump. Could the check valve ("flapper") from supercharger to turbo be faulty? How about an electrical problem like boost pressure control, or what? Thanks for your input. |

Phil, Do you have EDC, electric control, to your engine? have you calibrated?, make sure you get full trottle, easy to just check on the engine. |
