Hi, a few months ago i bought a converted Westerley 25. (converted to fishing boat). It runs on a Volvo Penta 2002 engine. When i bought it the boat needed some TLC but the engine wa running fine. I did a few trips with it. On my last trip however the engine started smoking so anchored to let it cool. When i started again everything seemed fine but when i was almost back in the marina the engine started running very irregular and couldn't make any speed anymore. (only very slow). I changed the fuel filter and now the engine runs great but when i push the throttle forward the boat hardly moves (even though the engine seems to run fine ). Anybody got an idea what the problem might be? |

Check gear oil level. Or worst case is input spline is worn away. |
