Hi Guys,
I have a customer with this motor and the heat exchanger is leaking coolant out of a pinhole just ahead that huge hose that faces the rear. I'm wondering what my options are as far as repair/replacement of the heat exchanger. I believe the motor is an 1980 model

Case is corroded. Replace or try to repair. Case is high dollar item. |

Thanks for the timely response. Can you tell me approx what a new case would cost and what it is made of? Cast iron? Where can I get a replacement?

I have a TMD40A Volvo Desiel that needs Injector pump repair. Can pump be removed by taking out the four bolts and center nut from drive gear and carrier or do I have to remove the entire Front Engine Cover. Any help will be appreciated

If it is case with big rubber cover on end, case is alum and goes for $1983.00 US dollars. George, Pump is removed by removing 4 screws in pump adapter behind water pump. Do not need to remove case. |
