Hi all
I have a 2001 Riviera 40 with twin TAMD 74 430hp engines. When they are running, apart from this problem, there are no issues whatsoever.
The problem is that the starboard engine intermittently goes into "limp home mode", meaning the revs drop to around the 1000 mark and it slips into neutral. Simply turning off the ignition and turning on again seems to re-initialise the system and all is good again.... gets a bit hairy when docking though!
The fault code is 1.3 on the EDC from memory, this relates to the potentiometer, however the potentiomoeter has been replaced to no effect.
The Volvo technician has had a look a couple of times and come up with nothing and seems to have washed his hands of us.
Has anyone had the same problem, or can make any suggestions?
