I am struggling to remove a sea water pump on the MD 2020. The forward facing bolts are easy but two others thru the base plate from the back have neither purchase area for a socket set or in the case of the rear lower one clearance to remove.
Any tips much appreciated from some one who has achieved this. |

The lower bolts still come in from front. The nuts" are welded to rear base plate and do not come off.If corrosion has locked up long lower bolts you are in for a treat. Grind heads off of bolts to remove pump from front of housing. When you free up bolts,spin off with lock pliers or drive through housing along with back plate. |
