I have a Racor 500 primary filter. I want a secondary (engine mounted), spin on element that is less than the 10 microns in the Racor. I'm finding none on my own. It makes no sense to me to have a 10 (or 2 if I wanted) micron primary, then not be able to go smaller at the engine. Even if I use a 30 as a primary, 10 at the engine seems too large as a final filter.
Any suppliers of smaller micron filters for the AQD40A? part # Volvo-Penta [838593-2] |

What does Volvo recommend? If you can't find one, there must be a reason. Too small a filter can be worse than no filter at all. |
