my engine has done approx 2000hrs i have developed and intermitant hard start when the engine is warm the problem is very rare on a cold start
afer the engine is at operating temperature you switch off for approx 20 minutes, at times it will not start you need to bleed the fuel system (up to 14 pumps) to get it to start, yet other occassions it starts with a little extra cranking
i have bypassed the fuel tank etc and connected another fuel supply direct to the secondary filter , the problem still evident
i replaced the secondary filter and housing which has the prime pump in it
the problem disappeared for approx 40 hrs and same problem again so i replaced it again with another new one now it starts almost everytime but stalls afer about 3 seconds of running, i then removed the cover to look at the injectors they were swimmimng in diesel i retentioned the injector pipes, ran the eng for approx 4 hrs the starting problem still exists but the fuel leak around the injectors has not returned
can any one help as i dont know what to do next |
