My KAD44P-C suddenly quit while running on plane. The diagnostic unit called out the Engine Speed (RPM) Sensor. The corrective action calls for checking the connections for the injection pump (actuator) and the control module. I attempted to check the connections as best I could. However, I could not figure out the control module connector. How do you disconnect the connector from the control module? After messing (wiggling) with the connections for a few moments, the engine started and ran for approx. 10 minutes and then quit again. I could not get the engine to re-start and had to get towed. After setting for a couple of hours the engine started as if there had never been a problem. Any ideas? |

Water or corrosion on tip of rpm sensor in flywheel case. Connection from sender into harness above or around starter. Connector into computer. |
