I have the MD2030 engines and during the raw water pump change I found that the lower lip on the timing gear cover has been eaten away. I do not know if the cause is due to electrical stray or salt water. The lip is on the bottom of the raw water pump hole. Any body got any ideas or have you had a similar experience?erosion of metal
