Is the alternator main terminal supposed to be wired with a jumper to the starters amin terminal. The alternators main terminal is also wired directly to a cranking battery. that sounds wrong to me. what do you think |

The alternator output has to go to positive somewhere. Normally the ouput goes to starter positive post which then leads back to battery + and thru to ground. Normal charge wiring. |
