I recently moved my boat from New Zealand to Tonga. I am now experiencing low oil pressure at idle after reaching operating temperature. Since I have dual ciruits for oil pressure, light and gauge, I believe the pressure is truely low. I have replaced the oil with 15w-40 and it still does not take long for the pressure to drop. I do get about 50 psi at about 2000 rpm when hot. Any thoughts before I pull the boat and motor to check the main bearings? Thanks, Kurt |

Check it with a mechanical gauge. Remove and check relief valves and seats in oil filter housing. Also check that oil line to valve bridge has not broken. |
